Additional Notes Identical layout of first, third, toilets and luggage compartment as the one-off Diagram 128 No. 2677; the only difference is that this body has the luggage door right at the end and hinged on the corner pillar. Originally on 4-wheel bogies. W c.1950, removed from chassis and used as club room at York Railway Institute Bowls Club, Ashton Road, Holgate, York (formerly York Carriage Works Bowling Club). Was fitted as with bar and had veranda fitted to one side. During the 1980ís the veranda was enclosed and the bodyside removed from that side to increase inside seating area. About 2008 a new brick built club room was commissioned and the carriage body then became a storage shed for which it is still used. Further identification information on this vehicle would be welcome.
