Additional Notes Type D. P 1979 NYMR privately, then on to DMU bogies from BR 59098/9 (q.v.). Asbestos stripped 1990, 1997 and Autumn 2000!. To Heysham 7/00 to 5/01 for repairs. Totally gutted interior now in use as store (seats). Protective all-over grey undercoat. By 12/17: restoration work well under way at Llangollen Railway, returning the car into 'as delivered into service' condition with 1 x 1 armchair seating; it will be returned to the NYMR for painting.
