Additional Notes Involved in accident at Wartle 5/1885 - had Mansell wheels at that time. W 1924 and grounded as station offices at Towiemore. This line (Speyside) closed 11/1968 as a through route although it remained open to Dufftown from Keith for freight and occasional passenger trains until 1990s (this section now being the Keith & Dufftown Railway). Body remained at station at least until early 1970s, after which to Upper Hillockhead farm. Basic shell intact but is in sorry state in 02/09. Only surviving section of interior is one partition into which a ticket window had been inserted. Expected to move to RDRPS at Ferryhill, Aberdeen but this did not happen; still on site 12/10 and 05/14 but not found 06/15 and it was confirmed in 06/18 that it was scrapped c.2015.
